AN HOUR WITH DJ PHASE
Some friends invited me to spin at Jilly's with them one Friday
in November 2003. I picked out some nice loungey records, then proceeded to
butcher nearly every mix in public. First, the DJ monitors weren't
working, and B) I need to practice more. Anyway, this is how I
wanted it to sound. Please note, this recording is far from
perfect; consider it a warm-up for an "official" CD mix to be released
sometime in 2004...

NOTES
- The recording levels are somewhat inconsistent, and generally too low.
On the first take, a couple of tracks ended up distorted, and on the final
take, I overcompensated. What can I say? I'm no recording engineer.
- The thin, bouncy rhythms from 29:00 to 36:00 are tough to beatmatch!
- Special thanks to Nathan for sharing the last track,
from Crix Madine's as-yet unreleased Nectarine Sun EP.
